The Marketing and Events Manager is responsible for the successful and sustainable marketing and communications process, as well as all events of GWS Hub and SSC Heroes in a specific country. He / she has overall responsibility of all the marketing, communications and events KPIs and the people working in the marketing, communications and events department in the specific country.

GWS Hub is an umbrella organization providing innovative online solutions for the shared services industry in the CEE region. Our main solutions are the SSC Heroes industry portal providing online employer branding services for our clients and the MagellanPass cloud-based recruitment solution pre-filtering and delivering candidates in an innovative way to our clients.
The organization was established in 2015 and it is growing rapidly since then. The founders’ objective is to build up a unique industry solution for the SSC sector and become market leader in this niche market.
The organization is rather small, it has a start-up like atmosphere and things are changing fast. We rely on every individual in the team to make the best of their best performance, as we are aiming to develop a world-class solution.
In this role, You will be part of the following team:
- Country Team, as you will be heading the ‘Marketing, Communications and Events’ team in this country
Duties and responsibilities (Targets and KPIs)
The Marketing and Events Manager job includes being in charge of the followings:
- Marketing and communication materials
- Marketing campaigns
- Communication on all the GWS Hub and SSC Heroes channels
- Content creation
- Event organization
- Employer Branding
The role is client facing and so daily contact with clients (shared service centers and their suppliers) is a big part of a Marketing and Events Manager’s job, therefore the ability to communicate effectively is essential (both in English and in the local language of the country as well).
The Marketing and Events Manager is also expected to continually create new partnerships and co-operations regarding events and publications.
Qualifications and other requirements
Must be educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with some qualifications in Economics / Marketing / Communications / Media Studies
The ideal Marketing and Events Manager is preferred to have experience in at least 2 of the following fields:
- Shared Service Centers (SSC / BPO / ITO centers)
- Marketing Campaigns
- Content Creation
In a Marketing and Events Manager job, you need to have excellent communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.
Languages to be spoken at a professional level: English and Polish
To effectively manage communications of the company, a Marketing and Events Manager needs to have knowledge and experience of the Shared Service Sector and the companies operating in the sector. They must fully understand the products and services provided by GWS Hub.
Must be familiar with business computer software programs: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Apps, Google Drive
The Marketing and Events Manager must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a very innovative mindset, enthusiasm, curiosity and energy.
The job requires a person to work in a normal / regular schedule with occasional work overtime – especially in the initial set-up and start-up period. Attending events out of work hours is on demand.
It also requires the candidate to travel within the country when there is a relevant event and travel to Marketing Department meetings to other EU countries (Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic) on a quarterly basis.
